About this recipe: This quark spread tastes great just on bread or as a topping for jacket potatoes. Quark is also low in fat, making it a healthy alternative to butter. You can also try this recipe with fromage frais or creme fraiche.


Serves: 8 

  • 250g quark
  • 150ml soured cream
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt (more according to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh garden herbs (parsley, chives, chervil, dill, basil, etc.)

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Season well. Consume within a few days.
