About this recipe: This is an extraordinary brownie recipe. The brownie layer is topped with a gorgeous layer of cream cheese and then your favourite berries. Fresh or frozen berries are equally delicious. If you don't like macadamia nuts, walnuts are a nice substitution.

  • 200g caster sugar, divided
  • 60g soft butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa

  • 50g coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  • 250g light cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour

Best brownies recipe I've used though I think you forgot to add the other half of the sugar to the soft cheese mix in the recipe. I also had too much of the mix even when I used 200g of cheese rather than 250g. - 17 May 2012
