About this recipe: Bread rolls topped like pizzas and baked in the oven. A quick snack, easy lunch or super-fast midweek supper - especially for children. You can vary the toppings according to your tastes. Some easy ideas: a spoonful of pasta sauce, black olives, sliced chorizo, crumbled feta, jalapenos... The possibilities are endless!
I've been making bread roll pizzas for years. The pasta sauce base is a good idea, I will try it next time! I usually spread tomato ketchup onto a roll without butter and add anything else to hand. My favourite method is to put garlic on the base with the ketchup, grated cheddar cheese, crushed chilli flakes and cooked ham. A good substitute to pizza when you have very little time and no dough ingredients. - 25 Jul 2012
