500g onions, peeled and finely sliced
3 tablespoons oil
4 rump steaks (180g each)
2 tablespoons plain flour
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
125ml white wine

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the onions for 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Cut into the fatty edge of the rump steaks several times and dip in flour. Fry until brown in the same pan as the onions. Season with salt and pepper, cover with the onions and pour wine over them. Cover and braise for 20 minutes. Season with Worcester sauce to taste.
