A relative of celery, lovage can be hard to find. Use fresh parsley, dill or basil instead.
Used different ingredients. Didn't have lovage; used trout fillet instead of whole fish. Having recently made a Thai curry, I could add a few slivers of lemongrass and a torn up kaffir lime leaf. Also added dill. Really nice, subtle flavors, which did not drown out the trout... - 24 Oct 2010
