About this recipe:In Turkey cucumber salad is usually served as a starter (meze) or side dish to meat dishes. It is easy to prepare and tastes wonderfully fresh. The salad tastes especially good with small cucumbers because they have more flavour, but it can also be prepared with a normal cucumber.
1 large or 4 small cucumbers, peeled, halved lengthways and sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped (optional)
2 sprigs of fresh mint, finely chopped

Put the cucumber slices into a colander, sprinkle with salt and allow to drain for 30 minutes to an hour.
Mix yoghurt and garlic in a bowl and stir in mint. Strain and stir in cucumber and maybe a little more salt.
