About this recipe: A healthy hearty stew suitable for the whole family. This dish can be put together in one pot and is great for using up whatever vegetables you have in your cupboards. My friends and family have all said it is one of my best dishes, and I am sure that if you try it you will want to cook it again.
If you don't want beans or potatoes to be too soft, perhaps add them to the pan a bit later, eg. add potatoes in the last 20 minutes and the beans in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Perhaps double up on ingredients and freeze a family meal for another time.
Thanks for the recipe, just made it and it is currently simmering away and smelling good. Just checking if it is meant to be 600ml (not grams) of chicken stock? That's what I went with anyway so hoping it's right! - 07 Sep 2015

fantastic left out the potatoes and had it with mash, and swapped the tarragon (as we don't like it ) for parsley, prepared it at lunch and when I'd cooked it I put it in slow cooker on low until teatime mmmmm - 01 Nov 2016
