About this recipe: This is another budget dish that I absolutely love. You can eat this hot, or as a cold pasta salad. When you don't have much money, you have to be a little adventurous!

Serves: 3 

  • 3/4 bag pasta
  • 1 tin sweetcorn
  • 1 tin tuna, drained

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Extra time:1hr cooling  ›  Ready in:1hr25min 

  1. Boil the pasta in a saucepan until it's at your desired taste. Once cooked, drain and rinse and put back into the saucepan.
  2. Open the tin of sweetcorn and add the whole tin to the saucepan and simmer.
  3. While it's simmering add the drained tuna. Cook until it's hot and then serve.


Because the sweetcorn and tuna can be eaten cold it does not matter if the tuna and sweetcorn are hot because you will be eating it cold.


You can eat this dish hot if you wish; both hot and cold are really nice.


You can add some mayonnaise and mix until its even; add mayonnaise to your desired taste.


This is a good healthy meal if you leave out the mayonnaise.

alternatively use all the same ingredients but if you dont have mayonnaise use salad cream. and if you like red and green peppers chop em up fine and throw that in too. - 20 Jan 2016
