About this recipe: A normal pasta with a zesty cinnamon twist. Great for diabetics!!! I should know, I am one!! The squirt of ketchup is optional, but really tasty.

Serves: 2 

  • 113g (4oz) pasta (any shape)
  • 1.2L (2pt) water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 capfulls lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 1 squirt tomato ketchup (optional)

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Measure out the pasta and put the 2 pints of water into a saucepan and boil.
  2. Once the water has boiled put the pasta in and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. After 5 minutes add half the cinnamon, lemon juice and butter and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the salt at the 3 minute mark (3 minutes to go) and add the rest of the cinnamon and let it finish cooking.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, put it in a colander and drain. You're ready to serve it up!

Serving suggestion

Add the tomato ketchup and stir it up. Then shake some extra cinnamon on top.
