About this recipe:A super-chewy and totally moreish treat. Puffed rice cereal is mixed with melted marshmallows and butter, then allowed to set. Perfect for snacking on, as a dessert or pop them into your packed lunch.
50g unsalted butter
300g marshmallows, snipped into smaller pieces
160g puffed rice cereal, such as Rice Krispies

Lightly grease a 20x25cm or similar sized dish.
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Gently stir the marshmallows and allow to fully melt. Stir until the butter and marshmallows are blended, remove pan from heat.
Stir in the puffed rice and stir until the cereal is completely coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
Spread the mixture out into the prepared dish, chill for 1 hour to set and cut into bars.
I used rainbow drops for the colourful effect which made them very sweet as appose to using plain cereal. These were tasty but found them a little bit too sticky but that could be down to me using the sugary rainbow drops. But will defo be doing them again - 17 Mar 2013
