Nutty upside down pear pudding

    It's quick and easy to make and came to me when I wanted to use up some walnuts. A tin of pears and a quick crumble topping made a delicious dessert.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 50g butter or margarine
    • 100g self-raising flour
    • 50g caster sugar
    • 50g walnuts, roughly chopped
    • 1 tin pears

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
    2. Rub butter or margarine into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs; add sugar and chopped walnuts mix well.
    3. Tip tin of pears into an ovenproof dish. Then sprinkle the walnut mixture on top.
    4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
