Mustard gammon and egg pie

    A quick and easy pie recipe using cooked and sliced premium pork leg, topped with mashed potatoes and Cheddar cheese.

    Serves: 4 

    • 400g Maris piper potatoes
    • 75g creme fraiche
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 20g plain flour
    • 20g butter
    • 300ml milk
    • 1 pack Tesco® Make a Meal With… Mustard Gammon
    • 2 hard boiled eggs
    • 30g Cheddar cheese
    • 2 teaspoons wholegrain mustard

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Boil the potatoes until soft, drain and mash, adding in the crème fraiche and the salt.
    3. Place flour, butter and milk in a pan and heat, gently stirring until sauce has thickened.
    4. Add in the Mustard Gammon and stir.
    5. Pour the sauce into an ovenproof dish. Peel and quarter the eggs and place on top.
    6. Once the mash has cooled, gently spread on top of the pie all the way to the edges.
    7. Mix together the Cheddar cheese and wholegrain mustard and sprinkle on top of the potatoes.
    8. Bake the dish in the centre of the oven for 20 minutes until top is golden brown.
