Stir-Fried Lettuce with Garlic

    This is a mouth-watering Chinese stir fry dish. It's simple, delicious and quick and easy to make. Lettuce is stir-fried with garlic and oyster sauce.

    Serves: 3 - 4

    • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
    • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped, divided
    • 300g romaine lettuce, leaves separated
    • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    1. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Add the spring onions and 1/2 of the garlic and stir fry until aromatic.
    2. Add the lettuce and oyster sauce and stir quickly. When the lettuce turns vivid green, turn the heat down to medium.
    3. Add the remaining garlic and salt and stir. Serve immediately
