Apple and custard puff pastry tart

    45 min

Gala apples are my favourite for this apple tart - juicy, sweet and crisp! My friends all seem to love it when I make this apple puff pastry tart. If you don't have vanilla sugar, simply use a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

    Serves: 6

    • 1 puff pastry sheet, rolled
    • 6 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 100ml milk
    • 200ml creme fraiche
    • 125g caster sugar
    • 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla custard powder
    • 1 egg

    2. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl then pour over the apple slices.
    3. Bake in preheated oven to 200 C / Gas 6 until golden brown.
