Here is a perfect dessert if you have any unexpected guests. This tart can be prepared in a flash, and it is a very tempting and delicious dessert. Serve with creme fraiche or whipped cream, or simply on its own.

110g butter, softened
130g ground almonds
125g caster sugar
1 puff pastry sheet
120g cooking chocolate
4 ripe pears, peeled and halved

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the almonds and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, mix well after each addition.
Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Line a buttered tart tin with the puff pastry.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and coat the puff pastry sheet. Top with the almond mixture and add the pears.
