Quiche Lorraine with Ham

    I like my quiche Lorraine better with ham instead of bacon. This quiche is made in no time and is very good. The perfect dish for beginners! It is super easy thanks to using shop-bought pastry sheets.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 shortcrust pastry sheet
    • 5 eggs
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
    • 3 tablespoons creme fraiche
    • 200g grated Gruyere cheese
    • 250g cooked ham, diced

    1. Preheat the oven to 210 C / Gas 6-7. Roll out the pastry, and use to line a pie dish or tart tin.
    2. Whisk the eggs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add the nutmeg, creme fraiche and grated Gruyere.
    3. Sprinkle the diced ham over the pastry case, then pour the egg and cheese mixture over the ham.
    4. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
