Preheat oven to 210 C / Gas 6-7.
Line puff pastry sheet on a buttered baking tray. Spread with some apple sauce, put a few apple slices on top of the apple sauce, sprinkle with sugar and dots of butter.
Cover with the second puff pastry sheet, seal the edges by pinching them with your fingers. With a fork, gently prick the dough to let out the steam while it cooks.
