    About this recipe: A delicious, easy bread pudding that uses fruit loaf slices.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 2 eggs
    • 2 egg whites
    • 350ml (12 fl oz) skimmed milk
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 6 slices fruit loaf, cubed

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Preheat oven to 160 C / Gas mark 3. Lightly grease a 23cm (9 in) baking dish.
    2. In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and egg whites until foamy. Mix in the milk, honey and vanilla.
    3. Stir in the bread cubes and pour into prepared dish.
    4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean.

    Altered ingredient amounts. I used 3 whole eggs & more bread. Didn't measure the honey or vanilla. It's a great basic recipe to play with! - 24 Jul 2008

    Something else. Yummy! I like to try different bread pudding recipes. I used three eggs and no extra egg whites and put in extra bread. I also set the pudding tin inside a tin of water as it cooked. Very good! - 24 Jul 2008

    Sorry, but I would never make this again. The recipe totally lacked any kind of flavour. - 24 Jul 2008
