About this recipe:
A soft sponge cake with Griottines and laced with Griottine juice. Perfect for an impressive tea time treat.
100g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
65g caster sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon honey
80g melted butter
- Preheat the oven to 145 C / Gas 2 1/2. Grease a bread tin or mould.
- Sieve flour and baking powder. Add sugar and salt. Add egg and honey and mix in food processor.
- Melt butter and add to mix. Add Griottines. Pour mixture into prepared tin.
- Bake for 40 minutes. Lace cake with Griottine juice as soon as it comes out of the oven.
