About this recipe: There's nothing quite like homemade crisps. They taste so much better than the shop-bought variety. You can season these crisps anyway you want.


Serves: 4 

  • 6 new potatoes
  • oil for frying
  • salt and pepper to taste

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:13min  ›  Ready in:18min 

  1. Cut the potatoes into regular and very thin slices (use a mandoline or a box grater).
  2. Wipe the slices with a clean tea towel (but you need to know that your towel will stain and it will be difficult to clean).
  3. Put the oil in a deep fat frying and heat to 180 degrees C.
  4. Add the crisps into the fryer and cook for 13 minutes. Drain.
  5. Transfer the crisps onto a kitchen towels. Season with salt and pepper. Serve.
