About this recipe: This is a great way of making use of leftover mash and sausages. Mashed potatoes are topped with chopped sausage, passata, cheese, more mash and more cheese, before being baked to perfection.

    • 1 clove garlic
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • 150ml passata or pasta sauce

    • 75g fresh parsley, chopped
    • leftover cooked sausages
    • leftover mashed potatoes, divided
    • pepper to taste

I used mature cheddar cheese, and i only used 175g of it,because to me that was more than enough,i would've had to have used a whole block of cheese if i used the whole 500g,it was still very cheesy with the amount that i used though! - 24 Oct 2011
