    About this recipe: My granny was born in Martinique in the Caribbean. My grandfather also lived there for a while and used to offer this as a cocktail to his guests. When I was old enough to drink it, I started to like it... a lot! Here is his recipe the way I remember it.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 2 teaspoons cane syrup
    • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    • 40ml dark rum from Martinique

    Method

    1. Pour the cane syrup into a glass. Add the lemon juice and stir. Gradually pour in the rum. Add a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass and serve.
