    About this recipe: This is full of memories as my father used to make this drink for us when we were poorly. Drink it just before it is time to go to bed; there's nothing better to guarantee a good night's sleep. Add a little bit of vanilla if you have any, or top with cinnamon or grated nutmeg.

    Serves: 2 

    • 500ml milk
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 3 tablespoons sugar
    • 3 tablespoons rum (more if desired)

    1. Heat the milk in a medium saucepan on medium heat, then add the sugar. Remove from heat once the milk starts to boil.
    2. Add the egg yolk, stirring vigourously. Add the rum and serve.
