About this recipe: This Indian sweet and sour chutney is excellent served with any Indian dish or with simple rice and beans. Tamarind extract, which lends the sour flavour, can be bought at Asian shops and in some supermarkets.
Used different ingredients. This was very easy and tasted just like my favourite Indian restaurants. I did add a bit of salt and would use just a tad less water next time. Very tasty. Great with tandori chicken and naan. - 24 Jul 2008
