About this recipe: Craving a rich, hot cocoa without all the carbs and sugar? This is my own invention! You can play with this recipe, make it your own, add different flavorings and baking cocoas for variety!

Serves: 1 

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons your favorite sugar-free baking cocoa, such as Cadbury® Bournville
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons double cream
  • 3 rounded teaspoons Splenda® sugar subsitute or 4 Splenda® tablets
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)
  • boiling water as needed

Prep:2min  ›  Cook:2min  ›  Ready in:4min 

  1. In a mug, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Slowly add boiling water, a little at a time, mixing well, then add the rest of the boiling water to the top of the cup. Mix well and enjoy!


You can experiment with this to your own taste and add different flavorings and cocoas for more variety!
