Foolproof white sauce
This is a quick and easy recipe for white sauce. Use as a base for pasta sauce, cheese sauce or parsley sauce.
Ingredients
Serves: 4
- 475ml milk
- 40g butter
- 3 tablesoons plain flour
- salt and pepper to taste

- In a bowl, mix together flour, milk, salt and pepper. Beat until smooth.
- Heat butter in a frying pan. Add the milk mixture. Stir until the sauce is smooth and thickens.
