    About this recipe: These truffles are incredibly easy to make and require only three ingredients! Crushed Oreo® biscuits are mixed with cream cheese, formed into balls and dipped in melted chocolate.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 42 truffles

    • 450g Oreo® biscuits (45 biscuits)
    • 225g cream cheese, room temperature
    • To Decorate
    • 450g dark chocolate, white chocolate or milk chocolate
    • hundreds and thousands or chocolate chips (optional)

    Method
    Prep:45min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:2hr chilling  ›  Ready in:2hr50min 

    1. Crush (or process in a food processor) nine Oreo® biscuits, set aside.
    2. Crush the remaining biscuits and place into a medium-sized bowl. Mix in cream cheese. Roll into 3cm balls and chill until set.
    3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    4. Dip truffles in melted chocolate, then transfer to prepared tray. Sprinkle with Oreo® biscuit crumbs and chill until set, about 1 hour.
    5. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

    I made these added malibu left them to soak over night then i mixed dark choc and white choc dipped them in using my fingers to create tiny peaks they looked fab! i made about 30 lasted 2 days. I am making these again filling centers with bailys yummy. thank you 10/10 excellent i have made these 3 times now each time they just taste great. will be making more for my daughters party. - 10 Mar 2011

    lovely little truffles, were a definite hit. Only change i made was adding some melted white chocolate into the mix. yummy. - 28 Aug 2012

    These were delicious and so easy to make. They looked really impressive too. I crushed up a Flake bar and sprinkled that over the melted chocolate instead of the Oreo cookies. I will definitely be trying these again and will try some of the suggestions below about adding liquor or peppermint. Thanks for the recipe. - 21 Aug 2012
