About this recipe:This is an excellent dessert to enjoy during the colder winter months. Apples are stuffed with banana, walnuts and yoghurt before being baked to perfection. Enjoy with cream, ice cream or fresh custard.
4 medium apples, washed and dried
For the Filling
1 ripe banana, mashed
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon caster sugar
2 tablespoons Greek-style yoghurt
4 knobs butter
1 tablespoon caster sugar for sprinkling

For the filling: Mix banana, walnuts, 1 teaspoon sugar and yoghurt.
Preheat oven to 230 C / Gas 8. Grease baking tray or ovenproof dish.
Core apples and fill with the stuffing. Top each apple with a knob of butter.
Place apples prepared tray/dish and bake in preheated oven about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and serve warm.
