About this recipe: These are fantastic chocolate truffles for Christmas. They are rich, chocolately, nutty and packed full of rum flavour. Enjoy as an after dinner treat or anytime. They make wonderful food gifts.


Serves: 30 

  • 250g dark chocolate
  • 125ml cream
  • 100g chopped walnuts
  • 475ml rum
  • 50g chocolate strands or grated chocolate

Prep:25min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr30min 

  1. Break chocolate into small pieces.
  2. Heat cream until amost boiling. Add chocolate and stir until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Stir in nuts and rum. Chill until firm but not set. Using wet hands, form small balls. Roll in chocolate strands.
