Shake-n-Bake Chocolate Cake

    This cake is incredibly easy to make. All the ingredients are placed into a container, shaken for three minutes, poured into a tin and baked.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 cake

    • 300g plain flour
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 150g chopped nuts
    • 80g dark chocolate, grated
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 100g margarine or butter, melted
    • 1 large cup cold coffee
    • 4 eggs

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Ready in:1hr5min 

    1. Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Put all ingredients into a container with a lid. Shake for three minutes. Pour batter into a greased cake tin and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.

    Quite dry. It rose too much and split. Used self raising flour instead of plain flour + baking powder. Flavour was ok, perhaps too many nuts.  -  20 Dec 2017  (Review from Allrecipes AU | NZ)
