Cheesy Tuna Pasta Salad

    A delicious pasta dish that is quick and easy to make. Tuna is tossed with pasta, spring onions, lettuce, peas, Cheddar cheese and salad dressing.

    Serves: 4 - 6

    • 110g seashell pasta
    • 1 bunch spring onions, chopped
    • 30g chopped iceberg lettuce
    • 1 (185g) tin tuna, drained
    • 1 1/2 (300g) tins garden peas, drained
    • 60g grated Cheddar cheese
    • salad dressing of your choice

    1. Cook pasta until al dente according to packet's instructions. Cool under a cold running tap and drain.
    2. In a large bowl, place the spring onions and lettuce. Add the pasta, tuna, peas and Cheddar; mix well.
    3. Toss with salad dressing and serve.

    Really simple and tasty, used 100g garden peas cooked, and 75g shell pasta, it made enough for 2 even though i just wanted it for me  -  22 Feb 2013


    This recipe works for a crowd. Use defrosted frozen peas (very tasty) and add some chopped celery if you have it. Make a dressing of milk, light mayo, a bit of cole slaw dressing if you like for added creaminess and sweetness, and a bit of dill relish or chopped dills with some of the juice.
