    About this recipe: A fantastic Hawaiian starter that's quick and easy to make and tastes fantastic. Raw tuna is marinated in Oriental seasonings and served with lettuce.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 565g fresh tuna, cut into 1.25cm cubes
    • 4 tablespoons finely chopped onion
    • 4 tablespoons finely chopped spring onions
    • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
    • 2 tablespoons lightly crumbled wakame seaweed
    • 1 tablespoon ground roasted macadamia nuts
    • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed chillies
    • 8 leaves iceberg lettuce
    • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, for garnish

    1. Mix together the tuna, onion, spring onions, ginger, seaweed, nuts, sesame oil and crushed chillies in a mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, for the flavours to come together. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving plate, spoon the tuna on top and garnish with the coriander.
