Try this recipe with inexpensive fresh coley or pouting. They both belong to the cod family but are much cheaper and available in larger supermarkets or fishmongers.

Made it healthier. I used Kerry's Low Low Mature Cheddar Cheese, making this whole dish only 550kcals!! Delicious for a dieter or someone with low fat / low sugar requirements!  -  05 Apr 2011

Have had this four times now, and it's fast becoming a favourite with my husband. I have used a cod block, as well as smoked undyed haddock and both work equally well. Such a simple recipe that gives wonderful results.  -  05 Apr 2014
