About this recipe: Once you make these delicious muffins, they will become a staple in your house. They are packed full of chocolate chips and banana-ry goodness.

Serves: 12 

  • 225g plain flour
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 85g plain chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 250g mashed bananas

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Place flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and chocolate chips into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly and make a well in the centre.
  2. Beat the egg, oil, milk and bananas together. Pour mixture into the flour well. Stir only to moisten. Batter will be lumpy. Fill a greased or lined 12-hole muffin tin 3/4 full.
  3. Bake at 200 C / Gas 6 for 20 to 25 minutes.

I put a bit less suger in and used self rising flour instead. Put all in to a food processer, and mixed. Made 12 cakes. - 07 Feb 2012
