This cake can be enjoyed as a snack, for afternoon tea, elevenses or dessert. It's moist, banana-ry and jam-packed with chocolate chips. For the ultimate treat, serve with whipped cream.

Yummy! Couldn't really taste the bananas, they just made it really moist. Very brownie-like cake, not surprising with all the sugar 👍. Delicious warm with ice cream. I used 190g flour and 30g of cocoa to turn it into a chocolate chocolate chip banana cake. I also used a 29 x 34 cm roasting tin as that was the closest I had. Really light cake. Next time will try it with sultanas as I bet that would be a good alternative to chocolate chips - 19 Jan 2015
