Teriyaki swordfish on the BBQ

About this recipe: A quick and easy barbecue fish dish, which is packed full of flavour. Swordfish is marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled on a barbecue. Simple, but oh-so-good!


Serves: 4 

  • 4 (225g) steaks swordfish
  • 125ml teriyaki sauce
  • 30g margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic granules

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:12min  ›  Extra time:10min marinating  ›  Ready in:27min 

  1. Preheat barbecue for medium heat.
  2. Marinate swordfish in teriyaki sauce for 5 minutes per side.
  3. Lightly oil barbecue cooking grate. Grill steaks, basting frequently with melted margarine, for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Season with garlic granules and serve.

Alternative cooking methods

The swordfish steaks can also be cooked under the grill.
