450g minced beef
1 (500g) pack macaroni
250g grated Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 (800g) jar passata
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Crumble the mince into a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until evenly browned. Drain.
While the mince is cooking, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add macaroni, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain, and stir in butter. Transfer to a large casserole dish, and mix in the mince, passata and Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the top.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until heated through and bubbly.
It was very simple without any veg. So I added some onions and blended down some courgettes and mushrooms as "hidden" vegetables for the kids and a little basil. I then sprinkled cheese on top before putting in the oven. It may seem like I did a lot to it but I didn't really. And it was pretty tasty. - 20 Oct 2016
