About this recipe:These are spectacular burgers flavoured with a sachet of French onion soup mix. The addition of oats ensure the burgers are moist. Barbecue for great results, or pan fry if it is raining outside!
900g extra-lean minced beef
1 sachet French onion soup mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
60g porridge oats

Preheat an outdoor barbecue for medium high heat and lightly oil grate.
In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion soup mix, egg, hot sauce and oats. Shape into 6 burgers.
Barbecue burgers over medium high heat for 10 to 20 minutes, or to desired doneness.
