Easy Watermelon Granita

    This healthy and refreshing treat is perfect for a hot day. It's sort of a cheat's granita, but it doesn't matter - it's fantastically delicious, especially when melon is sweet and in season.

    Serves: 4 

    • 3 scoops ice
    • 300g watermelon chunks
    • 80g cantaloupe chunks
    • 60ml orange juice
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 4 sprigs mint, for garnish

    1. Blend the ice, watermelon, cantaloupe, orange juice and honey together in a blender until no chunks remain and the mixture is a thick slush. Garnish with the mint if desired.

    Treat yourself to this healthy and guilt-free, naturally sweet concoction! Not quite a drink, because it's good and thick and at the start, anyway, even requires a spoon. Delicate in flavor and a delicate, pretty pink. Hubs, who is really the first reviewer of this recipe, not me, declared the taste "wonderful." His only criticism was that this starts to separate immediately after pouring it into the glass, the slushy part from the liquid part, so it requires continual stirring.
