Sultana Bran Bread

    A fab bread machine recipe for a hearty loaf enriched with sultana bran cereal. Absolutely wonderful toasted, served warm with lashings of butter. Look for regular white bread flour when making this recipe; the dark colour comes from the bran!

    • 350ml water
    • 1 (7g) sachet dried active baking yeast
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 410g bread flour
    • 90g sultana bran cereal
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    1. Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Med Crust cycle; press Start.

    This recipie turned out to be dry especially around the edges, you could not taste the raisins, but you could taste the brand (super strong) and that is all you could taste. My entire family didn't eat the bread.  -  11 Jun 2006  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
