About this recipe: Blondies are blonde brownies, and these blondies are studded with chocolate chips and walnuts. You could use white chocolate chips instead, if you want a truly 'blonde' brownie! Omit the walnuts, or use pecans, if desired.

    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt

Made this for my family, felt 450g of sugar was too much so used 300g instead. Sweetness was fine with this tweak. I used a little milk to loosen the mixture. It baked for 40 minutes. Lovley served warm with icecream or cream. Straightforward recipe and easy to make. Thanks  -  28 Jan 2017

This is my recipe for blondies (its from a baking cookbook by a certain well-known lady) but my recipe calls for no salt and turns out perfectly, add toffee bits instead of chocolate chips for an extra special treat. Perfect for non-chocolate lovers  -  13 May 2006  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

These are great. They have a crisp outer shell and a gooey center. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the salt, if you use a full tsp they are way too salty, I use 1/4 tsp and they turn out perfectly.  -  03 Feb 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
