    About this recipe: A quick and easy cake using tinned cherry filling. There's hardly any washing up, because you mix all the ingredients right in the baking tin!! You can use another fruit filling, if desired, and can also use pecans or almonds instead of walnuts.

    Serves: 24 

    • 250g plain flour
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • 150ml vegetable oil
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/2 (410g) tins cherry fruit filling
    • 60g chopped walnuts

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:45min  ›  Ready in:50min 

    1. Place all ingredients in a 20x30cm baking tin and mix thoroughly with a fork.
    2. Bake in a preheated 180 C / Gas 4 oven for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
