This simple chocolate frosting turns any cake into something deliciously special. It is easy to make and easy to work with. You can use butter instead of margarine, if desired.
this is great tasting icing but I do find it fairly difficult to mix and pipe but it is worth the effort for the taste. If you whip it for a while it does make it softer. Don't be tempted to add anymore liquid or it won't keep it's shape when piped. - 01 Dec 2011

I have had a huge problem with frosting... it falls apart, it melts, it clumps etc... But this recipe is amazing! Perfect consistency, flavor and look. I got impatient and applied it to a cake that was still hot and it still had no problem!! - 18 Mar 2013
