    About this recipe: A healthy smoothie that is lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and packed full of fruity flavours. For a thicker smoothie, try using pre-frozen, peeled and chopped bananas.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 pears, quartered and cores removed
    • 1 banana, cut in chunks
    • 250ml milk
    • 125g vanilla yoghurt
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

    1. Place the pears, banana, milk, yoghurt, cinnamon and nutmeg into a liquidiser. Cover and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses to serve.

    Tried this at the weekend!! My husband loved it. I used a splash of pineapple juice instead of milk and mixed spice in place of the spices as I didn't have nutmeg. I also used Greek and honey yoghurt as I didn't have vanilla. - 05 Nov 2014

    Great recipe! Everybody loved this! I think it doesn't serve two people, though, it serves three people and lots of smoothie is left. Didn't have any vanilla yogurt, so I used some tasty Peach and Passion Fruit yogurt instead. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe! - 18 Jun 2016
