About this recipe:These burgers are absolutely delicious. The secret ingredient is cola! You can't taste it, but it enhances the flavour of these barbecued beef burgers.
125ml cola-flavoured fizzy drink, divided
35g Doriano Italian crackers, crushed
6 tablespoons French salad dressing, divided
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
675g minced beef

Preheat a barbecue for high heat. When the barbecue is hot, lightly oil the cooking grate.
In a medium bowl, mix together the egg, 1/2 of the cola, crackers, 2 tablespoons French dressing and Parmesan cheese. Crumble in the minced beef and mix well. Form into 6 balls and pat into 1.75cm thick burgers. Pour the remaining cola and dressing into a small bowl. Mix well.
Grill burgers for about 3 minutes per side. Brush with the dressing and cola, then barbecue for 8 to 10 more minutes, basting occasionally.
