About this recipe: This is a great snack anytime of the day. Bread is filled with corned beef and cheese, then pan-fried until golden and toasty.


Serves: 1 

  • 2 slices bread
  • 15g butter
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1 slice tinned corned beef
  • 1 slice processed cheese, such as Kraft singles

  1. Preheat frying pan over medium heat. Butter each slice of bread on one side only. Spread mayonnaise on the un-buttered sides.
  2. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the frying pan. Layer corned beef and cheese slices on bread. Cover with remaining slice of bread, buttered side up.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes on each side or until toastie is golden brown and cheese is melted.
