About this recipe: These wonderful canapes can be made ahead of time and frozen. Breakfast muffins are spread with a cheesy crab topping and baked to perfection.


Serves: 25 

  • 110g butter, softened
  • 250g cheese sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 (170g) tin crab, drained and flaked
  • 6 breakfast muffins, split in half

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, blend butter, cheese sauce, garlic salt, seasoning salt and crab meat. Spread mixture on split muffins. Freeze until ready to use. When ready, thaw for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
  3. Cut each muffin half into 6 wedges and place on to a baking tray.
  4. Bake at in preheated oven for 12 minutes.
