About this recipe: It takes only six ingredients to make this pasta dish, which is guaranteed to please. Spaghetti is topped with a creamy, Cajun-spiced prawn sauce.

  • 450g vermicelli or spaghetti pasta
  • 110g butter
  • 1.5 litres double cream
  • 100g chopped spring onions
  • 675g cooked prawns
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat butter over medium heat until melted. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and cream. Cook until sauce is reduced by half.
  3. Stir in the spring onions and prawns. Heat thoroughly. Serve over hot pasta.
