This is absolutely fantastic chocolate icing and I'll most definitely use it again and again. Thank you! It is like a buttercream, but not quite as heavy. I followed the recipe to the letter, except I used regular milk instead of evaporated, only b/c I didn't have evaporated to hand. In the future I'd like to try adding additional flavours - maybe cinnamon instead of vanilla, or coffee. Thanks again! - 04 Mar 2011
Altered ingredient amounts. adding coffee instead of vanilla gives a real depth to this icing! made with 2 tea spoons of fine coffee powder and 1 teaspoon of hot water, chocolate heaven! xx - 10 Mar 2011
This is a divine recipe! Easy to make and sooo good! I tweaked it a bit by only putting in about 150g of icing sugar and using hot chocolate instead of cocoa! AND! The best thing is that when you freeze it, it makes an amazing ice-cream! The ice-cream could be eaten for ever and ever because its not heavy but very chocolatey!
