    About this recipe: A truly indulgent sauce, which is made with butter, sage, double cream and chicken stock. Enjoy over pasta or the meat of your choice.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 115g unsalted butter
    • 10 fresh sage leaves
    • 250ml double cream
    • 125ml chicken stock
    • salt and ground black pepper to taste

    Method

    1. Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat; add the sage leaves and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in the double cream and chicken stock and cook until hot; about 2 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper to serve.
